Conversations at the Web 2.0 Expo

Robert Scoble, Andy Edmonds and I had a great chat at dinner after the Web 2.0 Expo Tuesday night. Robert's amazing career over the last few years demonstrates the power of internet video! At Microsoft, his reach was greater than any PR rep, and now, at PodTech, he has access to the leaders of the software industry with the ScobleShow.

Robert's book Naked Conversations is a great read and lays out the benefits of blogging and authentic conversation with your customers.

Along the lines of the Cluetrain Manifesto, I read Naked Conversations awhile ago and have wanted to meet Robert ever since. Check it out if you get a chance.

By the way, this photo is about 4 minutes before we discover that Robert's car window got smashed and my laptop and bag got stolen. (If you meet who took it, ask them if I can have back the powerpoint from my presentation at Mike Filsaime's conference in New York. One day, I will learn to back things up -- argh.)

But it was worth it to hear Robert's ideas about where things are going. Keep an eye on him!
